We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Investor Award at the UK Tech Awards 2026, alongside our parent company IP Group, recognising the role both organisations play in supporting high-growth technology companies emerging from the UK’s leading research institutions. The shortlist was announced by the UK Tech Awards ahead of the ceremony taking place in November.
The recognition comes during another significant year for the UK innovation ecosystem, with university spinouts continuing to demonstrate their ability to attract investment, develop breakthrough technologies and scale globally. As the UK’s most active investor in university spinouts, Parkwalk backs companies translating world-class research into commercial success across sectors including AI, healthtech, quantum computing, advanced engineering and climate technology.
Portfolio companies also recognised across the awards
The strength of the Parkwalk portfolio is reflected in the success of several portfolio companies that have also been shortlisted for UK Tech Awards 2026. These include:
- Brainomix, the Oxford University spinout using AI-powered imaging technology to improve stroke and lung disease diagnosis.
- Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), a leader in quantum computing infrastructure.
- Quantum Motion, which is developing scalable quantum computing technology using silicon-based architectures.
- Nyobolt, the Cambridge University spinout behind ultra-fast charging battery technology.
Their inclusion highlights the breadth of innovation emerging from UK universities and research centres, and the growing impact these businesses are having across global markets.
Supporting the next generation of UK technology success stories
Parkwalk, together with IP Group, continues to play a leading role in providing the patient capital required to help science and technology businesses grow from early-stage research to commercial scale.
From quantum computing and artificial intelligence to life sciences and climate technologies, university spinouts are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges while creating new industries, jobs and economic opportunities.
The UK Tech Awards shortlist is a welcome recognition of the founders, researchers and management teams building these businesses, as well as the wider ecosystem that supports them.
Congratulations to all shortlisted companies
We are delighted to see both Parkwalk and several portfolio companies recognised in this year’s awards and congratulate all those shortlisted.
The UK Tech Awards celebrate the organisations and individuals shaping the future of UK technology, and we look forward to joining fellow innovators, investors and founders at the awards ceremony later this year.
